Narok Centre

Narok County

Narok County offers ideal sunflower growing conditions with its semi-arid climate and rich volcanic soils. The Narok collection centre serves farmers from Narok Town, Kilgoris, Transmara, and surrounding areas. Narok has historically been one of Kenya’s most productive sunflower regions, and our centre processes some of the highest-quality sunflower seeds in the country.

Open during harvest season: Mon–Sat, 7AM–5PM

🌻

Bungoma Centre

Bungoma County

Western Kenya’s fertile farmland makes Bungoma an excellent sunflower growing region. The Bungoma collection centre serves farmers across Bungoma, Bumula, Webuye, Kanduyi, and neighbouring Trans-Nzoia border areas. The dual rainy season pattern allows two harvests per year, maximising farmer income from sunflower cultivation.

Open during harvest season: Mon–Sat, 7AM–5PM

🌻

Tharaka Nithi Centre

Tharaka Nithi County

The semi-arid lowlands of Tharaka are perfectly suited for drought-tolerant sunflower varieties. This centre serves farmers from Tharaka South, Tharaka North, Chuka, and Maara constituencies. Sunflower farming here provides a critical alternative income source for farmers who struggle with traditional crops in the dry Tharaka plains.

Open during harvest season: Mon–Sat, 7AM–5PM

🌻

Embu Centre

Embu County

Central Kenya’s productive agricultural belt offers good conditions for sunflower in the lower zones. The Embu centre serves farmers from Embu Town, Runyenjes, Mbeere North, Mbeere South, and surrounding areas. Farmers here benefit from good road infrastructure and proximity to Nairobi markets, enabling efficient logistics.

Open during harvest season: Mon–Sat, 7AM–5PM

🌻

Makueni Centre

Makueni County

Makueni’s semi-arid climate with 500-700mm annual rainfall is excellent for sunflower cultivation. This centre serves farmers from Makueni Town, Wote, Kibwezi, Makindu, Mtito Andei, and neighbouring Kitui border areas. The Makueni County Government has been particularly supportive of sunflower as a drought-resistant income crop.

Open during harvest season: Mon–Sat, 7AM–5PM
